This type of wire cloths have slotted openings to achieve a higher percentage of open area for a higher separating efficiency.
It is suited for screening such objects as fertilizers that tend to cause plugging.
For smaller opening sizes, round wires are combined with flat wires in Oblong Openings style for a higher stability.
The ratio of widthwise and lengthwise dimensions of an opening is generally 1:3.
